Excess Time

Post by Everton_cvel »

The game 6 nimmt! is one of the ones that cause the most player drop-off. It would be interesting to consider reducing the time to 30 seconds instead of nearly 2 minutes.

Maybe 1 minute it's enough

Sometimes it's good to have time to think a difficult turn but usually with 45-60 seconds it's a lot and 2 minutes it's too much

So even when setting up a fast game, the shortest amount of time is still 2 minutes per turn?

Not two minutes per move. BGA uses a dynamic clock. So you might have 2 minutes +30 seconds added after each move (not sure of the exact numbers). It's more like 30 seconds per move, but you can carry over unused time (up to a point) and get two minutes stored up at the beginning.

Fast paced is currently "+0:11 per turn (maximum 1:33)". So no, not 2 min, not even 30 s, just 11 seconds per turn. But that also changes, BGA adjusts the timers for every game (based on how long people actually take, I guess)

Yes, thank you. Since several months it's worst and worst. I do the math and I approximately play 1/3 of the total time because I waited for one or several players played even though we choose at the same time. So I decided to thumb down multiple players because they take a very long time and never apologies.
