When it came to BGA, it was made clear that it’ll only be available for a limited time. And according to the plan, it was taken off. There were complaints about it suddenly vanishing, but that’s not true. They just should’ve reminded everyone before taking it off according to the plan that was publicly announced when the game came to BGA. So it might come back at some point, but only if the publisher changes their mind, and if they don’t, which is highly likely in the next few years at least, it won’t return.

With Asmodee gaining the rights to the Lord of the Rings IP is it possible they could bring it back then?

AFAIK, Fate of the Fellowship was published by Z-Man Games, which has been part of the Asmodee holding for years. So they - I have no insider information- could’ve done this all along if they wanted to, but they obviously don’t. As the game gets older and maybe sales go down at some point, they may or may not change their mind, but this is just me speculating without any tangible evidence.
