MSO Grand Prix 2026 - 6th Februrary to 22nd March

The Mind Sports Olympiad returns with its annual series of online board game tournaments. That's right, MSO Grand Prix is back with a 5th edition, and it all starts on Friday 6th February 2026! All tournaments are FREE and open to anyone with many of them on BGA! This is your chance to win a real medal!

The Grand Prix will run for just over 6 weeks, ending on Sunday 22nd March 2026, and features around 75 tournaments across a wide variety of disciplines and platforms. We are delighted that BoardGameArena will be exclusively hosting over 30 of the 2026 MSO Grand Prix tournaments! All of the Grand Prix's Multiplayer tournaments, as well as several Abstract and Imperfect Information events will be held on BGA. This includes Premier events in Ark Nova, Wingspan, Ticket To Ride, Carcassonne, 7 Wonders, Patchwork and many more!

The MSO is a prestigious organisation that has hosted international board game tournaments since 1997. In 2020, the MSO was forced online for the first time due to the Coronavirus pandemic. In 2022, the MSO returned to its usual in person format in London for the Summer, but also introduced its new Grand Prix series in the Spring. The Grand Prix is fully online, across multiple platforms, and is free to enter!

The format of the 2026 Grand Prix is very similar to last year's competition, you can read full details about it at the MSO's website.

All of the MSO's PlayStrategy events will be hosted in the Mind Sports Olympiad group, so be sure to join the group and join the events you want to play in, which will be added in the coming weeks. The MSO asks participants to register on their website to ensure you are included on their leaderboards and eligible for any medals you may win!

Once again, our Grand Prix Carcassonne event on BGA will again be providing a qualification spot for the 2026 Carcassonne World Championship, which will be held in Germany next October. This tournament will run to the same format as 2025’s event with two chances to qualify for the finals, intended to be accessible for players of all timezones.

Sorry, i real all post and gone through mindsportsolimpiad.com and didn't find how to register to specific bga tournament. For example i want to participate in kingdomino tournament but the are on bga tournaments on correct date. Am i missing something?

To take part in our automated BGA tournaments, you’ll first need to join our BGA group.
It’s quick and easy — just head to: https://boardgamearena.com/group?id=9962498 and click “Join Group” in the top‑right corner.

Once you’re in the group, you’re ready to register for tournaments. Registration opens 24 hours before each event, so you can sign up anytime during that window. Visit: https://mindsportsolympiad.com/mso-gran ... urnaments/
and click the “Join” link next to the event you want. This will take you to the tournament page on BGA, where you can hit “Register for this Tournament” to secure your spot.

If you don’t yet have 100 ELO in the game, no problem! On the day of the tournament, we’ll post an updated link in ⁠our discord server that includes a token allowing players below the usual ELO requirement to join. We aim to share this at least 2 hours before the tournament starts.
