Scoring of Windmill tile

Hi everyone,

I’m a bit confused about the scoring of the Windmill tile in Keyflower. In my game, it gave me 1 point, and I’m not sure why.



I feel a bit stupid asking this because I have the impression I might be missing something obvious, but I really can’t see it. Could someone explain why it only scores 1 point in this situation?

The windmill scores 5 points for every 5 resources you have. You only have 3 resources, so you don't get any points for the windmill.

Instead, the gold counts as 1. Apparently, and confusingly, this is shown on the windmill, as that is where the gold is.

Thanks! That makes sense now. I had completely missed the rule that gold is worth 1 point per token at the end of the game.

So the point wasn’t actually coming from the Windmill itself, but from the gold token. That’s what confused me. Thanks for clearing that up!
