What determined race positions when time runs out for a tournament match?

I was in a tournament (top 5 out of 10 qualifies for the next round) and time ran out because several people were playing very slow (and ran out of time, but we did not kick). I was running 1st and had a lot of time left and thus was very surprised to be placed 6th out of 10 when the game was terminated. Even worse was that 3 players that had crashed out eventually were among those qualified.... I find this very strange and think this should be fixed....

Iin the situation of a table ending for running out of time, the players are ranked by their individual remaining time to play.

But to me it is strange that also cars that have crashed out still count. Of course they will have maximum time left...

That's why in awful settings tournaments some people are crashing on purpose at the beginning

It's not up to the developer, it's just a BGA issue

With the new kick rules in both Formula D and Heat, this is why I fully support kicking someone as soon as their timer turns red in a tournament.

It kicks the while leaving everyone else unaffected, instead of neutralizing the results immediately like in other games.

It's a fantastic rule change.
