Excellent advice, WingspanG0D.
One important note is that for many games, the top players are very willing to be transparent about their strategies, at least to some extent. Which means the top players generally aren't worried about losing their high-rated status by giving free helpful advice to lower-rated players looking to improve.
The predators/vulture scenario is a crucial example. One of the worst this a player can do in this game is to give an opponent a food in return for a hunting point. As noted, a food is worth way more than a point. Giving an opponent food for a hunting point is just giving away games.
Slightly off topic, but, yeah, the last 5 days of Arena season are brutal for me. I also have to just sit back and watch because I cannot play real time.
It's frustrating to not be able to play fast-turn based in the final 5 days for games that typically end the same day they start when played fast turn based.
