Question about cubes on animal cards

I am just learning this game, and I am confused about how the cubes are moved from the animal cards. In the how to play section it says they must be removed starting from the top, but in the game it seems to do it from the bottom. What am I not understanding here?

That rules summary is wrong. If you check the full rule book, you'll see it says the cubes must be taken from the bottom of the card to the top. That's an unfortunate mistake in that summary!

The good (and bad) news is that anyone can edit the summary. So you can correct it if you find a mistake, but you can also put something wrong intentionally...
