Threes

I'm just not into the whole 3s worship thing. I see a lot of players just going for threes threes threes and it doesn't work. I even saw someone pass up the first nine to get another three just now.

The 3s are very strong, as half of the spellbook is more or less directly composed of ghosts, and they also have the ability to give you back your reroll for an aggressive strategy.

However, short of incredible luck, collecting five 3s and then flipping them won't guarantee victory.
Players who rely on this strategy often need to collect a few ghosts before fully deploying their cards.

Furthermore, this strategy is quite predictable, which certainly works well for beginners, but against an experienced player, they will react quickly and prevent you from collecting them all by using 6s, for example.
So yes, the 3s are strong, somewhat random, but also easily countered.
