The game doesn't say in the rulebook: you can't take more than 25 cards. I often take more than 25 cards and I'm fine with it. In such games, it's the goal that counts, not the method. If you encounter this type of player, your job is to deal with them, not block them and criticize them. I can handle it, because others often copy my method of play. I've never once publicly criticized anyone for their play, and I've never blocked anyone with a red thumb.

Thanks for explaining the rules for us. I mean, I'm sure we all suspected there was an item in the rulebook that the developers just completely overlooked and that has gone unaddressed to this day

This is sarcasm by the way. Since you're deluded enough to believe that drawing cards obscenely has any strategic value, especially at the beginning of a round, or does anything more than wastes everyone's time, I won't bother presuming you have any sense for rhetorical tone

Everyone has their own opinion on the matter. However, as long as the game rules remain unchanged, that opinion is irrelevant—anyone who wishes to do so will utilize the mechanic that allows for drawing cards without restriction. The game rules have a greater impact on the actual gameplay than any subsequent complaints from players.
