It's the same people every time at the time and opponents aren't separated by league. A player in the bronze league will often face the best players in the world, and inevitably get crushed and have their ELO and win-rate tank. The way Arena is set up too is that no one can drop a league once they reach a certain tier. So you could have players who are not good (like myself) be in the "Elite League". What does that say when someone with a horrendous ELO like myself is in the same tier as someone like Ryse96 or JohannesTheGreatest?
I think really only the best players in the world should be in the "Elite League" battling for champion. Top 100 or 200 or something. Any more than that just dilutes the field and gives the top players easy victories to stay afloat.
Tl;dr: Badly skilled players shouldn't be able to participate in Arena. All it does is, at best, put them in a tier they don't deserve to be in, and a guarantee to add more losses and ELO depreciation.
