Starfish gives no points when in my hand with a duo?

Starfish gives no points when in my hand with a duo?

I notice that starfish and a duo is worth no points in my hand is confusing me even when water rodeo is up and i have one of those pair with a starfish the points show later if i played my triple on the table🙂
