joined a tournament, ended up in 13 games at one time

I don't play a lot of tournaments on here, but felt like one today. Joined a Can't stop tournament, and when it started ended up being in 13 matches. I can't see anything in particular in the tournament settings that said this was going to happen, but I think this is my first round robin tournament on here. Is that the reason im playing 13 matcvhes at the same time?

Yes. That is standard for round robins. Some people have tried a workaround for staggering the matches, but with limited success.

There is a warning about this on the tournament page. Under Tournament Registration it says "Note: Round Robin tables are started simultaneously."

Ed.: I just noticed something very silly, but not surprising for BGA. If it is a pure round robin, there is a warning. For example: https://boardgamearena.com/tournament?id=568862

But if it is a groups stage tournament, and Stage 1 is a round robin like your tournament....there is no warning!

Round Robin on BGA generally always means that the round is played all at once.

If you post a direct URL link to the tournament you're referring to, it makes it a lot easier for people to assist you.

I love this thread because I had this experience a couple months ago. But mine was Wingspan. So many birds!

Don't feel bad, I don't think it's super clear either.
