May the matching of the Ark Nova Arena be in the same group? It is tough to be matched with the player that the difference of our ranking is very big. It should be designed to be matched within the same group, such as when I am in the gold ranking, I should be matched with people who are in the gold ranking.

So use the old lobby (Play Now) and then click the cog to set your preferences that way. Note that Arena matches on league level (which is what you're asking for), not on Elo. For that reason, I don't believe the filters from the game panel (new lobby) page apply to Arena matching (which is just SOOOO user friendly... not).

It's not like they could have done things differently. It's normal that people can be matched by Elo in normal games, and it also seems normal that people wouldn't be able to do the same in Arena. It should be the same competition for everyone.

For someone who likes to nitpick on semantics, your own reading comprehension seems to leave something to be desired. My issue was not with the fact that Arena play can't be matched on Elo, my issue is that the filters in the new lobby ONLY account for Elo levels, and so,

As in, only Elo levels are listed in the filter, and I don't believe there is any cross-reference of Arena levels to Elo levels that you can filter on in the new, game page lobby (I mean, how could there be, when different games have different number of leagues anyway). The fact that you can start Arena games from this area, but not filter your opponents on level that you want to is fairly NOT user friendly.

And given that the OP also asked about being matched in the "same group" and talked about being matched against gold ranking players when they are also in gold ranking, I don't think they expect it to match on Elo levels either, so on the off-chance you weren't responding to my comment, I'm really not sure who you thought you were talking to.
