Real time tables queue

Post by Anarbarziz »

Hello. Good morning. I'd like to know if there's any way to see which boards are looking for players. I like to log on to play games on weekends. It doesn't matter which ones. I've noticed that the main way to see if someone is looking for players is through the chat. I find that inefficient. In my case, when I create a game, I only share it in the chat a maximum of twice. I don't want to be repetitive. There are digital versions of board games where you can see a list of games looking for players. I've created several game tables (mainly short games) and had to cancel them all after 20 minutes. I'm from Europe. I don't know if that's why I have trouble finding players. In any case, I've been thinking about canceling my premium membership for a while now, since I don't notice much difference between being a premium member and not. In both cases, I had to wait. The difference in how easy it is to create a table for certain games isn't motivating for me, because even if I create one, I can't find any players.
The only way is to play turn-based games. Which isn't the most fun way to play games that last just under 30 minutes.

Check out PLAY NOW tab . . . SIMPLE . . . REAL-TIME . . . MANUAL. I think this is what you are looking for.

For some games, somehow decided based on having an average long enough waiting time for real-time games probably, there is a bell on the game page that you can click to be notified about real-time tables being created.

See https://boardgamearena.com/gamepanel?game=goodcopbadcop just as an example (make sure you have selected Play, and Real-time.

Yes. Using LOBBY feature link You can see all tables open for games you want to look for, or games that you marked as favorite, or even ALL games.
There is also "subscribe feature" for a game that you set it,, and where you will get notice when table of that game opens.

But that won't change that many games are just not very popular. Some are very popular and problem is to join table before others do. In others problem is that only few people plays them, and in those only way to real play is play my mail option (TB).

I don't think so. It mostly depends on the popularity of the games, as others have said.

Cancelling premium would lower your chances to play the (premium) games you want to play. Why this? Let's say 3 players want to play a specific premium game, but none of them has premium - they won't be able to play it, because no table is created.
