Napoleon (ナポレオン), one of Japan's most beloved classic card games,is now in Beta on BGA!
It's a trick-taking game for 4–5 players (best with 5) with secret partnerships: the winner of the bidding becomes Napoleon and names an "Adjutant card" — whoever holds it becomes Napoleon's secret Adjutant, and nobody knows who is on which side until that card hits the table. Napoleon's team fights to capture the declared number of picture cards; the Allies fight to stop them.
Tired of trick-takers where the deal decides the winner?
In Napoleon, the real game is reading the table — every card played is a clue about who the Adjutant is. Add the Mighty, the Enchantress, the Joker, and plenty of rule variants, and you get a game Japan has played for over a century.
