Bug reports in decline?

Post by Shobu »

Is it me or is there less and less bugs being submitted?
I can't count how much games are now left without any report

I regularly check the most recent of all reports and didn't notice anything unusual.
Are you referring to some games in particular?

Maybe developers are learning how to create bug-free games? :D

I still make reports regularly as I play all the new betas. Feels like more or less the same rate as always, game wise, but I don't keep track.

It IS more involved to check for duplicates since they revamped the bug system, and have ignored requests to simply place a button to see all reports for a game. They comically added a button AFTER you submit the report.

And there is also another classification layer when creating, but I don't know if that would discourage things enough. Maybe yes, maybe no.

For me, sometimes I ignore checking for duplicates now, although most of the time I do verify that there isn't one already there.

Following the “Summer of Games,” a large number of games were released to public alpha. Perhaps this led to a temporary decrease in the number of reports per game?
