Debugging an existing game as a way to learn

Hi, I've noticed that some bugs for certain games never get resolved for whatever the reason(s). Is it possible for someone to get access to the code for a particular game and try to fix a bug?

Sure! Join the Studio, learn the basics, then ask maintaiance for the abandonned game.
