[Seasons] Larbin of io + staff spring

Hello,

When I summon "Larbin d'io" with "baton de printemps" already on table, should I get cristal from invocation first before the Larbin d'io effect (he cancels any cristal gain when summoned) ?
In my latest game , I did that and got no cristal, I would like to be sure this is intended.

The same question applies with "crane de dragon" (dragon skull) thought for this one it's more straightforward IMHO
