Players who do not use confirm button

Post by Desertsong7 »

I was wondering if we could create a way to have a setting that says we only want to play with people who use the confirm button. I'm tired of waiting forever for people because they won't use the stupid little button.

I hear you!

I don’t mind waiting while they are thinking, or if they have a bad connection but once the decision is made - please confirm it quickly!

Please accept that players are allowed to use their time as they see fit: to think, to cook, to pet their cat or to watch the timer run down. As long as the are in positive time they're doing nothing wrong. As soon as they are in negative time you can expel them.

In practice, what is the difference for you between a player not using the confirm button and a player taking a bit longer to think and then using the confirm button?

I think some people, especially new players, don't even know that the confirm button is a button. Initially I didn't know it. I just thought it was a timer.

I only started using the filter settings in the last few months. And that's only because I read about them in another thread for another game. It's not like there is tutorial that you are forced to view before you can play your first game.

It just takes up so much extra time that is unnecessary. It slows down the game a lot.

Maybe the player is using that extra time to think about the next move. There is nothing wrong with doing this.
