Medicinal herbs - Rules question

Post by Kristan »

I have a doubt regarding the card "Medicinal herbs". The text of the card says: "Make 1 card available. You can move to its original era to add that card to your deck".

In my current table I used the card but the card that was drawn by it was from an era with a vortex on it, thus destroying it immediately and preventing me from adding it to my deck and traveling to the era of the card.

I tried checking the rulebooks from my physical copy of the game and the main game rulebook says: "If the card that was made available is placed on an era that has a vortex, it is not destroyed until after the current effect has been entirely resolved". The rulebook of the fur brigade only specifies that you must add the card to your deck if you want to use the free move and viceversa. This sounds to me like I might be able to add the card to my deck even if it's from an era with a vortex on it because the effect would fully resolve before the card can be destroyed, but it's not very clear.

Anyone know if the way BGA handles it is correct or if you should be able to use this effect even if the era of the drawn card has a vortex?
