There is no actual start player token. I suppose that is why nothing was implemented. But since everyone gets the same number of turns, it is important information to have available at all times. The fact that other games have them assures me that I am not the only one who manages to forget by the end of the game. (In fact, the designer responded to a thread about it on BGG.)
