Question-Why are some people's ranks covered by a sad sign?

Why are some people's rankings covered by a sad person face? I have been wondering this for quite a while now, and I hope to find the answer...

Game rankings are only visible to BGA club members. As a new player, you get the benefit to seeing this information for a limited time. But, after that time expires, you should not be able to see their exact ELO rating -- the sad face covers it up.

Nope. This gives even more incentive to join the club.

Also, not only do you get to see rankings, as a club member you also get to see detailed statistics on your moves during a game, as well as be able to see how your ELO ranking has changed through time.
