Takenoko placing irrigation

Currently playing a game of takenoko. I click on the irrigation piece, then click on the location on the game board where I'd like it to be. Looks like it's placed, but when I go on to the next part of my turn, or end the turn, the piece(s) disappears from the game board. Am I missing something? Another button I need to click for confirmation maybe?

There shouldn't be a confirm button.

What device are you using (browser, etc.), and can you provide screenshots?
