That‘s what I‘m saying: Higher variance in a sense is leveling the playing field. Of course, the better player will still win in the long run but at least it isn‘t that frustrating for the lesser skilled ones. Then again, I have no idea if that‘s true (it is in my head) as I myself am not competing ...

Why is high variance a bad thing? High variance means lower skilled players have a chance at winning. Why is giving more people a chance at success bad? If a handful of people want to play it out among themselves, there's tournaments you can set up for yourselves. Don't take my words too seriously t...

I don't think this makes any sense without Prelude 2. Prelude 2 adds like 36 more preludes for a total of over 70. Then drafting from 6 makes sense. If you draft 6 each from 35, then you have almost all preludes in every single 5-player game.

That said, I'd totally like seeing 3 corps at the start.

Ask yourself this: Would they be willing to pay money for this? Would the dev be willing to do it for free? Why would anyone spend resources on this?

If you‘re not actively participating in a game you deem lost, you already destroyed the fun for others, as you call it. If I go into a game as a 3- or 4-player game, I will naturally play differently than I would in 2-player. So with you dropping out in whatever way, you change the game mid-game.

Everyone has their opinion; one of my opinions - this is why 3p+ on BGA is less fun. I only got a guru vote one season; my vote is for arena to be 2p to avoid this situation, and many other related ones.. I was always sad that once an arena game becomes 2P it never ever moves away from it; 3P arena...
