You might need to be able to do this to ensure you don't have multiple dice un-used when trying to combine two other for a specific total. Unused dice don't matter. I used the tanning salon with a woker with Tentacles and a Brain, and gained a food and a coin (and then an extra food/coin from tentacles) that I didn't expect.

What do you mean by this? What impact are you thinking of for volume? Imagine two people who win every game they play. One plays one game a week, the other one game a day. Which has the highest ELO? The same is true for two players of any positive win rate. If you play more, your ELO will be higher...
