Re: Why do we remove so many cards?

It also helps in reducing the odds of finding an optimal strategy, and it offers variety between games. We dont know which cards are going to be there and which ones are going to sit quietly in the box. Cant always hope to find wolves, tree ferns and so on. You have to consider after a while that th...

Re: Season 19 thoughts, 2p vs 3p Terraforming Mars

Interactions are clearly not minimal in a race. Your tempo is directly affected by others, just like in TM. And racing, athletics, golf and so on represent much more than 1% of the competitions made so far. That might weigh under 50%, but 1%, come on. And i believe we simply have different definitio...

Re: Season 19 thoughts, 2p vs 3p Terraforming Mars

Of course there are interactions between opponents in racing, cycling or athletics, for instance! Interactions dont limit themselves to physical contact or whatever. Simply deciding on a strategy or the pace will affect others, even if its not the best thing for yourself. I mean, just take a race li...

Re: Season 19 thoughts, 2p vs 3p Terraforming Mars

Thats the ransom of glory. Of course a very strong player is going to be targeted, and likely over-targeted, i mean, its after all very human. Accidental kingmaking is real, and thats one argument i could hear. Is hitting you whereas you're the strongest player and then, the biggest threat for the w...

Re: Season 19 thoughts, 2p vs 3p Terraforming Mars

Because it simply is. Every board game that can be played 1v1 is the most competitive that way, because of the nature of the game. In each sport you get teams playing against each other, you don't get football or basketball with 3 teams randomly trying to score on one another. That's chaos. It is t...

Re: Season 19 thoughts, 2p vs 3p Terraforming Mars

Fun and competetivness are two seperate things (although for some like myself they go hand in hand), it's quite easy to imagine that 3p might be more enjoyable for more players looking for strictly "fun" factor, and 2p for palyers looking for a more competetive approach. It's just a matte...

Re: Season 19 thoughts, 2p vs 3p Terraforming Mars

It's looking like we're sticking with three player mode (definitely not my preference despite placing Top 5 in all three seasons). I've posted a Suggestion to make the guru system and Arena format voting more transparent (without trying invoke any witch hunts of gurus). See what you think and up vo...

Re: Season 19 thoughts, 2p vs 3p Terraforming Mars

Well said. It is truly frustrating when king making happens to you in an intense game. In my last game for example, I somehow was in a winning position against a turn 1 earth cat, early AI then Anti grav monster that also supported by protected hab and media group. Yes, you guessed it, the third pu...

Re: Season 19 thoughts, 2p vs 3p Terraforming Mars

Well, it just depends on what you consider best, i guess. After this horribly neutral response, i am saddened to see, once again, a game shifting to 2-players whereas i am absolutely not sure its the most interesting way to play. I know that we all have different point of views, but it is following ...

Re: Water vole and gnat issues with woodland edge

Yep, it was fixed, the playable cards have a shade of blue around them, allowing you to see which ones are still active or not.
Thanks to the developers who fixed this.
