Board Game Arena

I've watched a few videos on this one (Blue Cocker Games on YouTube has excellent videos on the whole series), but I still just don't get it. Any suggestions on other videos that might explain it like I'm five? (I'm better with videos than with reading rules, when it comes to games.)

I play mostly with the same people, turn-based (sometimes Arena but I'm not that good). My standard settings are Random Maps, Same for both players, Map Pack turned off (I don't like the new-ish maps), and Peaceful mode. I always play turn-based Arena because it's too easy to get interrupted during a real-time game! You'll be lucky to get a game with me since I rarely win, but I really enjoy the game anyway.

Not sure if it's a bug so I'll ask here: We played a game with the Distinguished Family Members turned on, but when we did a rematch they were turned off. Is this normal for Beta features, or should I report it?

You can select different levels when setting up a game, but unlike other games, there is no explanation of the differences. Can't find them in the rules, either.

Can someone provide a simple explanation here? Thanks!

There are many bug reports about this, but watch out for it while playing: Sometimes, when I complete a box, the game gives me the points and ALSO credits my opponent.
