Yep, the ideal model would be: MW on Monday, Base on Tuesday. This way, hopefully everyone can play if they want to, with two days and two modes available. But I think many of us are yearning for some "normal" games, so TT can hopefully provide this!

As someone who always offers abandon if my opponent is much lower rated than me (as from my experience this results in one-sided and unfun games for both sides), I do agree with the general sentiment that abandons should be the exception. I never took the Ark Nova deep dive beyond solo and IRL with friends. I do think 4p Ark Nova is very interesting, what make Emu Cup special is player dedication not the format. If you have it, use it, those hardcore players are going to do whatever to make a game happen, force them to do 4p and see...
