Re: Not receiving mail notification for turn-based game

Happening to me too, I get notifications for turn-based games approximately half as often as I should be/did previously.

Re: Jamey Stegmaier's TAPESTRY: No time to rest for leaders.

Jamey Stegmaier's TAPESTRY: No time to rest for leaders. Tapestry is a two-hour game for 1-5 players designed by the famous game designer Jamey Stegmaier. If you know the author, then you probably know that this worldwide-acclaimed board game is not for the faint-hearted. Was this glorification par...

Re: Tash-Kalar official CGE World series 2015

Tangential other concern: you guys need to enforce time limits in these kinds of tournaments. If a player runs out of time they should lose the game immediately. In a competitive environment the timer is an important resource. The way it works now can also stall the tournament from progressing if se...

Re: Tash-Kalar official CGE World series 2015

Every single game I can think of that has a tournament format gives full points to a player who's opponent fails to show up. You want to punish a person because their opponent failed to show?

EDIT: I do agree that the tournament format is bad, but only because there aren't enough rounds.

Re: Tash-Kalar official CGE World series 2015

The thing is that tash-kalar is not the kind of game where knowledge about how many people will qualify will change the way you play the game. Everything is either win or lose and you try your best every game. It is not like chess, where you might play for a draw if it will guarantee you make the to...

Re: Tash-Kalar official CGE World series 2015

I think it is pretty reasonable to change the format once they realized it wasn't going to get as many people as they wanted. Do they really want 70% of the people who played to be re-invited to a "semi-final" just because they made that mistake? The point of several events is to gradually...
