Re: Why is the senority rule still the tie-breaker in multi-player elimination phases?

Ah yes you're proposing random but i don't think it's good either because it still creates situations where people don't play a game Or, in this new tournament i registered to , not a single game was played, and i just happened to have been unlucky to be in the only table with another person also on...

Why is the senority rule still the tie-breaker in multi-player elimination phases?

So today a few players including me faced this situation in this live play Splendor tournament : https://boardgamearena.com/tournament?id=591613#overview A few people didn't show up in Step 1 of the second phase (which is multiplayer elimination with 1 player qualifying in tables of 3) The problem i...

Re: What is the reason to exclude the Swift Start cards?

They're all good birds and not technically part of the original game so i think it makes sense they're a separate option Also they're much less a problem than the 4 powerful birds + wood duck (the later being less of a problem without expansions , probably explaining why it's a separate option as we...

Re: Luck rating 1 out of 5????

I wouldn't exactly rate it a 2 either even if it's defnitely between 1.5 and 2 (due to the "next hidden card" aspect (and of course getting a good timing on the blues which are very flexible, but it can apply to the other colours as well)) I feel it's slightly less luck based than a few ot...

Re: error rules

I don't understand this part of the rules... What exactly happens once a player has taken the last exposure marker and the final round is announced... There are 14 of them with two players, for example... So what do we do? Once the last exposure marker is taken , it triggers the end game. During th...

Re: Poll: Which map do you want next?

Rails and Sails would be nice Also eventually splitting Nordic countries from other maps (maybe having a "map collection" category and a "standalone maps" category for stuff like Rails and Sails , Marklin/Germany and Nordic countries (for this latest category, some versions would...

Re: We need point spread to balance the second-mover advantage

2 players is not terrible as there is always some luck involved due to the order of your cards , even at 3 or 4 , but they should definitely include the proposed tie-breaker that the player that goes first wins in a tie (though i feel a first tie-breaker before that should be amount of covering dots...

Deck II - 15 : Two Mechanical Djinn being valid at the same time?

Game : https://boardgamearena.com/17/cardia?table=831228653 Deck 2 We encountered a funny situation in this game today, where my 2 Kinesis Mage lost to my opponent's 3 Envoy Opponent had a 15 Mechanical Djinn with a ongoing token on it, meaning that the signet on 3 Envoy becomes a valid condition fo...
