Re: Starting multiple new games all at once
Has anyone else noticed on the Play Now screen that there are some that will start multiple (4-5) new games at one time? All of the variants are exactly the same, as are the player count and game speed. Exact duplicates. (I understand doing this if there is some variance between game options.) Is t...

Also important to know: Even using a time joker ("holiday joker") will not increase your timer in tournament games.

Re: mods = gods
It's hilarious that they consider some names worthy of interfering, and changing, and yet they aren't so bad that they can't still show the old username on your profile. I think there is a big difference if everyone sees the name basically everywhere (in the forum, on game tables, in the lobby, ......

Re: Improved Timer System for play-by-mail games.
It sounds a bit like you may want to play real-time tournaments instead of turn-based ones. There you have a specific start time and all games are played after that time.

Re: what happened to "sportsmanship?"
You wouldn't notice if you played the same username 5 times in a row? I mean, maybe you wouldn't, which surprises me, but fair enough. Well it depends on the situation, what else is going around me at whereever I am playing, my mood, ... It could very well happen that I do not recognize it. Sometim...

Re: what happened to "sportsmanship?"
I played a bunch of the same (short) game against the same player one evening - about 4-5 games in a row. Every time, they wrote "good luck have fun" in the chat at the start of the game. No variation. Just like it was rote. By about game 3, I wondered why they were still bothering (if yo...

Re: Is this rude?
Instead of offering advice, try asking them "That last move. I'm not clear why you chose that move. Can you explain your reasoning?" Hm, "Can you explain your reasoning?" could be received as a bit of "attacking" by the other player as it implies this move needs some k...

Re: How to report a technical issue with a specific table?
Sorry for the inconvenience. As usual when there is such an incident, all penalties incurred on the period of the incident will be automatically cancelled (please be aware that it may take some time). For turn-based games there can be a problem, if such an incident falls into the timeframe where yo...

Re: Opening bug report
I don't know the specific game. But passing the first turn sounds like you run into a disadvantage against the other players. If I am in that situation and would be struck by that bug, I would explain the problem in the game chat and ask to cancel the game due to that. And than select that option fr...

Re: You’re losing, they’re lagging.. so just expel them to avoid a loss????!!!!
You find it difficult because you don't understand it. The clock is not part of the official rules of Chess, it is part of the rules of specific contexts in which Chess is played (tournaments or clubs) like the timer is part of the rules of this specific context (BGA), the two are exactly equivalen...
