I think the swiss system has a flaw.
when a player left the game abnormal. the rest players get more point than normally finishing the game.(to the expectation)

and many of them were given one or two years ago....

How to blance the first player advance?
Here are some of my suggestion.
from the last player to the first player. each player take a card from first 5 revealed cards and do something.(put it in discardpile/mix it in the drawing card pile/put it on the top drawing card pile).

If I apply a custom convention ---- alway ingore the share color of two different hints. I think it will make it easier to give your parnter infomation.
