I'm a bit late to this and notice the discussion got a bit unpleasant, so can I try a reset with a suggestion that I've been thinking about for a while? What would the game be like if all the stack cards were visible rather than hidden? Laid out in a line on each level with the closest to the table ...

Always Hali first, then Carthage?

I've just played a game where both Hali and Carthage could pick a card from the discard pile on their last turn. Luckily I (as Hali) got to pick first. Does anyone know how the picking order is worked out?

there is only one new wonder, Carthage, which came with edifice but is compatible since it does nothing new. It's flexible, fun, and not too strong. There is no problem with it if you enjoy the game. Still the same. No idea what I was doing and lost badly.

After playing a few more games, the only one I have seen is Carthage, although I haven't been given it to play yet.
How do people rate this wonder, and which side seems best? It looks pretty strong to me, particularly the night side.

2 player Splendor is already one of the longest games I play. With 3 or 4 players it would just take too long for my taste.
