Re: Restoring Karma after forced quit

It gets stranger...
I received an email telling me I was running out of time on my Streetcar game - the one I quit and took the penalty for. So it seems I'm about to get a time penalty for a game I couldn't enter and that I'd already quit!

Re: Restoring Karma after forced quit

It wasn't a real-time game, or a tournament game, so I'd have simply gone out of time and taken a different hit. I've seen a dozen or so posts about this same problem with Streetcar as well, all of which have the "can't reproduce" response. I'll drop a note on "Contact Us" then a...

Re: Restoring Karma after forced quit

I already have issues: the forced drop has prevented me from taking part in tournaments. I just don't believe a failed game should leave me with a penalty when I had no other option but to quit.

Restoring Karma after forced quit

I've recently had a problem with two games of Streetcar. Many people have reported the same problem - the table won't load - but developers have not been able to find the cause. So the only option is to quit the game. As a result, there's a Karma hit (times two) for me, which I feel is unfair since ...

Re: For Lord of the Rings fans

Sharing two things:
1. I watched a really entertaining analysis of weaponry used in LOTR - search for "sword expert reacts to Lord of The Rings...". This expert - Matt Easton - has 3 videos on YouTube. Entertaining stuff!
2. Any chance we might get the LOTR Duel on BGA?

At last, chatbots get put to REAL use! Next up, how about an AI that points out all the best moves for your games (Premium only, naturally...) :D

If you're a fan of prog, try this from live version of "Arriving Somewhere But Not Here" from Porcupine Tree:

I've been a prog fan for years and only just come across them - can't understand how I missed them!

Re: Preventing kicking out of players

I have many years' experience working in IT development environments, so I know it's not as simple as some think to develop and implement improvements. But BGA should respond properly to the ever-growing list of suggestions. Perhaps a commitment could be made to support and implement the 20 most sup...

Re: Preventing kicking out of players

Thanks for the comments everyone. If I'm feeling charitable, I'd say that BGA resources seem to be prioritising (1) bringing new games along to the site, (2) fixing bugs, before they get to developing the very useful suggestions people are raising to improve the playability and fairness on the site....

Preventing kicking out of players

Hi all, I play a fair few tournaments, but have noticed an increasing number of players taking the opportunity to kick out others who are over time. Often this seems to be done to prevent a player losing a match and it ruins the games. Tournaments have time limits that govern how long a game takes, ...
