Idiotic word filter

For the rest, it's all about the private chat! And by no means about the public in forums etc.

The warning about language will appear in any chat on BGA. However, there is no moderation for it unless you are reported by another player. Therefore, if you are chatting with friends and everyone involved in the private chat takes no offence at your language, there will be no moderation report and no penalty.

We kindly ask that you limit this type of banter to chats where you know the players involved and all agree to this type of communication. As mentioned above, BGA is a family-friendly platform and it is very likely you will encounter children at your open game tables. Please be aware of this and use appropriate language in the public spaces. Thanks!

It's not about scolding or swearing, but about normal conversations! But I can see that I'm pretty much alone here with my opinion, because the others are simply too cowardly to support me! In personal chat, they all hit the same note - But to support me here?? - No sign of them! But that's nothing new in the history!! And you here, who think they can judge me, or just don't want to understand me - I'll treat you to a similar experience!!

There is an extremely easy solution to all of this: display a message above every chat once that using bad language is reportable, and disable this nonsensical filter. It truly is ridiculous that on an international site like this, Swedes, Germans and who knows what other nationalities are being warned for using normal words.

Maybe you can give some more examples of what you are talking about as many do not share the same experience. I hit the word filter extremely rarely in normal conversation.
(Maybe you can also try to read more carefully what others write. I was talking about trash talk and not normal conversation.)

Maybe you mostly chat in English? For a detailed discussion of just some of the many common words in other languages that trigger pop-up warnings, just look in the suggestion thread requesting an option to disable these warnings, or at least disable them in games with friends.

The OP was not demanding the right to act in an uncivilised manner, just complaining about the fact that perfectly civilised words and expressions in other languages (such as 'Hast du Lust ... zu spielen?' = Do you want to play ...?) trigger constant warnings.
