Stealing Magnus list so I don’t have to type as much :)
I will play anyone anywhere anytime, but some scenarios I do dislike because they are less skill more luck.

I agree with Magnus on these
Basically any four medal map
Sainte-Mer-Eglise (completely random and not even fun)
Sidi Rhezeg Air Field (let's try bad terrain, empty flanks and no room to maneuver!)
Knightsbridge (let's try NO terrain!)
Panzers vs Grants (let's do terrain that doesn't really serve a purpose and put exposed infantry against the back line!)
1st Armored to the rescue (let's put armor in a no retreat position, give them useless terrain and no units on one flank)
Vassieux (4 medal map, with a potential 2units dead before they get to make a move...)
Pointe-du-Hoc (can become a complete stale mate where both sides just wait for BEL, Barrage or Air Power)
Mont Mouchet (2 medals for killing one unit?... in a 4 medal map...)

Maybe?
Escape via the Coastal Road while I see the down side of this map: if the Brits get good “escape” cards on their left flank the game can be over pretty quickly. Also if the Germans can activate a lot of their tanks on middle and right flank they can attack with devastating results. But if those two conditions aren’t met (and they kind of balance themselves out if you play the scenario a lot) it becomes a scenario where I feel it is less of an attack and react scenario, but instead you try to put pressure on the opponent on “the other flank” and if they do not react that could be fatal. I have had a lot of good and enjoyable games on this map. But still two infantry assaults and an All left flank do not make for a nice game. 8-)

Maps not on my list, and why:
Pegasus Bridge more often than not the better player will play the Germans better and outscore the poorer player from that side (yes I know, sometimes the cards screw you. But that can happen in other scenarios too) I have a fondness for this one. My exception to the four medal rule also because of all the constraints (only inf, no units in right section for Allies. German troops behind the river hard to use)
First Assault Wave if you play both sides this one also has enough lenght to let the better player out on top.
Arnhem Bridge same as the two above. And also if you play the Germans “right” the win loss percentage shifts dramatically. On the old online some players managed a 50-50% on Arnhem with the Germans.
Flanking Maneuver at Bir Hakem I find this one very playable. Yes the Brits will usually lose, but enough to do for both players.
Sugar Loaf and Half Moon - One of the few maps where getting out of cover for the Japanese is sometimes the best strategy.
Wake Island - Japanese DDay Japanese running up the beach into the firing guns of the allies. If they manage to get past the beach a veritable cornucopia of objective medals. The Allies having to make tough choice where to position their too few troops. Will we try to take 1 inf of every Japanese inf to get 1 die of or concentrate fire to kill 1 inf getting rid of 3 or 4 dice. What’s not to love? ;)
Slopes of Mount Austen - I see no reason to exclude this one, very playable very enjoyable. (Japanese player could consider retreat as an option :D )

My 2cents 8-)

RETREAT?

Don't let the Emperor hear that!

Arena to my understanding is a competitive ladder here on BGA so let’s think what scenarios are used in tournaments certainly not Arnhem or Pegasus or any 4 medal scenario

Hey Guys, bad news regarding the arena format next season. The most voted proposal (mine) was rejected with this message: "We are sorry but the suggestion that has been voted the most is not a valid Arena format change.
Current format will be kept for next season."

This was my proposal:
"Eliminate one-card-wins it all scenarios:
Keep the same random format and just eliminate the scenarios that can be won in 1 or 2 rounds with a lucky draw of cards (mostly Mediterranean ones). The selection of the ones to eliminate is to be done with the help of the community of course."

I have just asked why my proposal was not valid, but my guess is that it was not specific enough and it left the choice of the scenarios to eliminate to a second moment (and I assume there is not the possibility to have such thing, an arena proposal has probably to be complete and ready to implement).

Obviously I'll update you about the reasons why the proposal was rejected, but in the meantime I would like to ask you:
Is there a common trait in the scenarios you don't want to play in arena?

I can't list all the scenarios to exclude in the arena proposal box (not enough space), so we need to find a generalization that include the most of the scenarios we all don't like playing in competitive mode. My new proposal, trying to be specific enough but without listing, and reading all your comments, would be: "Exclude all the 4 medals scenarios and all the Mediterranean ones".

And in case there is some scenario to save from the generalization, there is space for a couple of it (I am thing to Hellfire Pass for instance in my proposal). Let me know your thoughts and ideas!!

If your assumptions are correct then you can find my proposals (and "disposals" ;) ) in my post above.

Hm... I'd be a little sad if they just keep the Arena scenarios the way they are now, honestly. But thanks for the attempt CesareRaf. It would be nice to hear why, though?

Well - we were a few who tried to get the attention of the "Gurus" of Memoir44, but it seems they couldn't agree on making any changes to the pool of maps.
As for the missing official maps, I think it was mainly a question of the developers not having time to remove the last errors. I've also made a list of the 28 missing maps that WERE on the DoW online version. I'm hoping they get included in future seasons, especially when the DoW version is closing down.

I'm hoping people don't start deserting the game just because they keep getting the bad maps over and over again.

Exactly Magnus we’ve been playing this game for a long time and we avoided these maps on DoW but on Arena your stuck with it or both players can agree to quit
But yes hope we do not lose players
