You'll excuse me, Sir Wesk, if this is outside the scope of this post - but I've found some fun combinations of units, troops, and nations...
1) To make French Resistance you need to "promote" a Special Units figure - not standard infantry. Otherwise you just get standard infantry with a nice French badge, but no special abilities. If you make a Japanese "French Resistance" unit - you get the special ability to enter terrain and attack from the Free French, the "move 2 and attack into close combat" from the Japanese, the Ignore 1 flag from the Japanese, but NOT the +1 die if at full numbers (I think this is because the computer thinks the unit needs 4 figures).
2) British figures made into Cavalry gets the Battle Back ability from Stiff Upper lip.
3) Addendum: The "cheat" to make SWA - anti tank units move and attack by giving it to special units - it DOES make them able to move 2 and attack, not just 1. So it's pretty strong...
I'm sure there's more to follow...
Edit: Another little thing linked to Cavalry: if they take ground into MARSHES - they can't do Armor Overrun - as a matter of fact the app is stuck until you refresh and only then can deselect the unit. Thanks to CesareRaf for finding this out.
