Does anyone else feel there are way more Euro games than Ameritrash games on BGA? Does BGA have a bias for Euro games?

And/or a bias against Ameritrash games? As a big Ameritrash player, I get so disappointed when the latest BGA game release is another Euro game. There's just so few Ameritrash games on BGA (for example like Bang! the wild west card game). I get the whole licensing issue, but I would expect both Euro and Ameritrash game companies would want to feature their games on BGA is about equal amounts to spread the word about their games among players, but it feels like BGA is overwhelmingly Euro. I've even emailed some Ameritrash game companies about showcasing their games on BGA, but I'm sure an official BGA representative contact request would get a more serious response. I really like the game adaptions on here, because they feel like were made be played online, like where you can legally move being highlighted on the board or instructions popping up at the top of the screen, while other board game sites don't do that.

So to me the intention to favor euro games is clear and it's coherent that the games released are more often of that style.

Since you do not understand what those words mean the answer is no. Bang! is a parlor game. The games are not decided by BGA but by the work of individual developers, and that is going to respond to both popularity and relative difficulty in coding.

I agree with what was said before.

I would add that BGA was developed by a French team.
I guess BGA is well known by European (especially French) editors, who can decide to pay a developer to code their games for BGA.
I suppose Ameritrash games are more likely to be made by American editors, who may be less interested in BGA.

I agree that there are more Eurogames than Ameritrash on BGA, but I'd say most games do not belong to either. There are so many more: Push your luck, deduction, abstract, cooperative, tile placement, set collecting, trick taking, party games... Note that not every game produced in the US is "Ameritrasch" and not every game produced in Europe is an "Eurogame". There are even "Eurogames" developped in the US (e. g. Tapestry)!

I don't know about that. Bang and Martian Dice plays pretty well on BGA and they has a lot of luck. I also feel that games that involve more face to face interaction (like for example Pandemic) plays pretty well online on BGA. With Pandemic, in my experience text chatting or voice chatting is enough to get through the game. And some Ameritrash games already uses apps to help with gameplay like where to place tiles and move monsters (like with Mansion of Madness), so it would be even easier to adapt them to fully be online/digital. For all we know, BGA might sitting on the licenses of several good Ameritrash games (like Arkham Horror or Red Dragon Inn), but they would rather pay money to develop more Euro games. BGG had already a poll of what games people want to see on BGA and Arkham Horror was among the top 5.

No they dont. They will pay for any hit, regardless of the type.

Probably a lack of understanding in how most games get developed onto BGA.

There are a lot of open licenses for all kinds of games to be developed. A developer sees the game they wish to develop and gets started.
