BGA application malfunction

I updated to Chrome 122 (Android 10) and even tried using the browser directly instead of the BGA app.

Chrome 122 feels more laggy than Chrome 120, unfortunately. However, BGA itself worked fine -- the join table page in the new lobby system is a little laggy when scrolling, but the join button worked instantly.

I am personally unable to reproduce the 20-second reported delay. Maybe it only happens when joining specific types of tables? I tried joining an alpha turn-based table, not an Arena table.

I did NOT join from a popup like Arena games use, if that makes a difference.

What version of Android are you using? I have an old, slow Android 10 phone, yet I have not yet seen a single crash yet, nor multi-second lag, either with the app or Chrome 122.

Clearly something is wrong, but also clearly, it is not affecting all users even with similar operating systems and browsers.

I was also on 122 (I'm now on 123 after checking) and didn't have any issues.

Also, bear in mind that Chrome updates can occasionally break things with no updates to the software - we've had this happen in our software twice, where Chrome decided to use words in their internal scripts that we were also using. That was our responsibility to fix (and we did), but it's not something that's always easy for people to predict ahead of time.

I have my phone set in dev mode so it can't do any updates without me knowing and manually allowing them.

Android 11 chrome 112 bga app 1.0-5. It's been stable for the last 2.5 years or so until now. I am confident that whatever has changed is at the BGA side because nothing has at my end.

I also use android 10 phone but made a Chrome update few days ago so maybe there's the problem.

Since yesterday I've been experiencing android phone app malfunction - all the buttons seem to not respond correctly when tapped. When I tap Join button, the screen freezes and sometimes it starts responding after 20+ secs or not at all. The same happens with Accept button. It happens also when I uninstall the app and try to play on the BGA website. Is there anyone having the same problems? All worked good till yesterday. Any ideas what happened?

Same problem for me since yesterday on phone, tablet and computer. I uninstalled the game reinstalled, disconnected reconnected

It's worth adding that i'm seeing the same lag on a desktop using firefox and a 4G dongle so again indicates it's BGA side, and perhaps it's bandwidth related. I'm noticing a lot of additional 3rd party site calls when the site is loading pages that I can't recall being there before.

I'm starting to see more lag on desktop with broadband connection too now, just it's more subtle, but it's there.

I'm having my frustrations with the excessive lag myself. Used Chrome, Edge, and Samsung browsers; all time out in checking a game lobby. Makes it very difficult to join or create a table. I've only been playing Arena because I can jump to the game page & hop in from there
