Hi
I think that being a good player , Expert or Master in games where luck is very present like Backgammon or Can't Stop is far more difficult than being one of those in games where luck is not so determinant.
Allmost every one playing enough games like Hive or Caylus (games that I know) will become a good player or more, it is not the case fore luck games.
It can be easily seen with numbers of people at those stage. No masters in backgammon, very few expert, few good players. In Caylus dozens of masters, many experts, lot of good players.
So I think as far as prestige points are concerned that would be more fair that rankings (master expert GP) wouldn't be rewarded the same. GP at Caylus or so games, 100. Gp at Luck games, 200 for example. To me it is as impressive to be expert at backgammon as being a master at Hive (even more).
