But this cannot possibly be a new issue. Why bother with this after so long being here and so many games? You know what you are getting into with each game since years ago. No point to this complaint but to stir up the pot
You are right. More than 2000 games, and never ended a game the way it did. Which is why I blew up. That means 99.9999% of players here are intellectualy well balanced. I had the bad luck to meet the exception

While you may believe that you specifically should not have to play well to win games you are unlikely to find much support for that position.
Not looking for it.

Just wonder why a miserable post written when in hot temper triggered such flaming discussions (on more than 5 pages and still running).

Looks like the issue I raised hit a sensitive point.

Under your so called 'fair use' rules, how many minutes should someone wait before expelling for it to be a 'fair use' of that button? First give a definite answer to that question before trying to make other random 'rules' for the way games are played.
fair is one second to 1 hour.

Just notice opponent before pressing the nuclear button is starting to be fair.
Okay sounds like a very solid and well thought out idea. Next step would be to file a suggestions report in the bugs section of the forum (https://boardgamearena.com/bugs). Since it is one of the most groundbreaking ideas we've seen in a long time, surely it will gather enough upvotes and the BGA staff will implement it. Please let us know once you have made the post and we will definitely upvote it.

Mostly because you keep coming back and defending your "miserable post written in a hot temper" and the rest of us are fool enough to believe we might get you to see the sensible side.

That said, if you really feel that your post was "miserable" and "written in a hot temper", then when you've cooled off, you come back and say, "yeah, I was probably just a bit mad when I wrote that and shouldn't have". And then you stop complaining about all the terrible, unfair people on BGA and how we need to implement a bunch of things that won't change anything for you to stop them from being terrible and unfair, and move on with your life. Which I think has also been suggested to you.

What you are saying makes sense, and I would play similarly, such a situation would occur. My opponent in the game that triggered the discussion was light-years away from it
But if I'm on the verge of losing and I see my opponent makes a blunder like running out of time, I may just grab the opportunity without delay :D

So 2000 games and 99.9999% of the time everything is fine. You had the "bad luck to meet the exception" when doing something you knew could get you ejected from the table, so now the site rules need to be changed for the 1 in 2000, or 0.0001% of the time when the thing you could have easily avoided anyway happens. Doesn't seem like an effective use of developer time.

"Look at all these posts that disagree with me!" is not the defense you think it is.

You are the second one that quotes me uncompletely. Which again changes the meaning of what I have written

The full quote is : "Just wonder why a miserable post written when in hot temper triggered such flaming discussions (on more than 5 pages and still running). Looks like the issue I raised hit a sensitive point."

In general, partially quoting someone's statements means you are not comfortable with the rest of the quote or that your logic is weak.

I start to really suspect my "poor post" unvoluntarily hit a sensitive point.

Is it really such a heated discussion? Most posts is just from 1 person...

You may consider I am a troll, while i just try to speak of morale.

Anyway, I have browsed quickly through past threads, and found i am not the only one raising the issue.
https://boardgamearena.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=34183

I think there is some problem around booting which is browling since months if not years.

It would not be silly to acknowledge it and try together to find a solution.

Automatic booting that was suggested by some is an interesting direction to investigate.

Otherwise, I am ready to bet that threads like this will pop up again sooner or later (may be sooner rather than later)
