Gee, that's VERY rich. How about you head over to the ELO topic and respond to the HUNDREDS of unhappy replies over there.

Just to add to thoughts about the "loss" of the newsfeed (at least initially, without scrolling) on the homepage... I don't think the average user pays too much attention to the site in general anyway when they log-in/come to the site. I'm in multiple groups and when we post about a game or tournament or something, a lot of time many of the members don't notice it.
The people commenting here, taking the time to give feedback, will probably find ways to keep up to date with their feeds; I'm worried though that it won't matter as, even if I make a post to one of my groups no one will see it and reply.

To be honest, I never visit the homepage. I always go to /forum or /lobby as my landing page.

Unfortunately it has feature regressions now, like being unable to see more than a few posts, even expanded.

If you are interested in saving bandwidth and server resources, you may wish to know that it typically takes 2 page loads for me now since I have to click each news item because I can't read it all or see any replies.
I find it a bit puzzling that BGA's current leadership has taken the position that they need to roll out major changes without considering feedback from site users. I understand they might have the perspective that "any changes will provoke pushback, but we need to make them anyway." However I really feel they could find good compromises that meet the needs of users and allow them to implement their new ideas if they tested it first with frequent site users and consulted here in the forums.

I remember a few years ago the former site CEO did an ask-me-anything session on Twitch and spoke positively about the community of users we've built here on this site. But then in the past couple years a number of changes have been rolled out that many users say have some inadvertent negative impacts on their experience, and the current leadership seems not interested in meaningfully considering that feedback. I hope that in the future the pendulum will swing back toward more meaningful engagement and good-faith collaboration to make this site the best it can be for all of us who enjoy it so much.

There were users involved giving feedback but I don't know their overall feedback since the answers were logged separately.

It's the same pattern as the new lobby. They asked for feedback in this post, they get overwhelmingly negative feedback and simply never engage with the thread again and continue doing what they're doing.

Why ask for feedback or a discussion and then just never respond. I'd respect it more if they just replied saying 'we've heard your feedback and we're doing it anyway'. There would be something more honest in that.

It also feels cluttered in a way the old one didn't. Frankly, while it might be useful for getting new people interested in the site (I'm not qualified to judge that), it feels useless to me and just wants to make me click off onto pretty much any other page.
THIS.

I only saw the new home page today for the first time. It's messy, useless, cluttered, feels all lopsided, etc. Just too "busy" which I never like. But I rarely stayed on the home page anyway and generally tend to go straight to my games. But I at least used to give it a quick look, and now I just want it to go away so I manually leave quickly.

But, I don't expect anything to change, because it usually doesn't.

Sharing my 5 cents of feedback...
I love BGA, I'm a daily player and active user, curious about every menu and new page BGA has to offer. I like to look for the easter eggs in the page, achievements, etc. Always look for the next hidden Ned Flanders !
But honestly, the Home Screen is not looking good, unfortunately, Too poluted, messy and lookgs and it seems that lacks an objective.
In a more visual comparison, it feels like entering a room full of toys spread everywhere!

That does not affect the gameplay, nor my will to play games, but it does not seem a pleasant page to navigate. I just want to go to the game lobby and start a table asap.

This browser extension https://chromewebstore.google.com/detai ... imepllkacb allow you to customize the home page, and remove all items that you don't want. (Compatible with Google Chrome, Edge, Brave, and even with Kiwi Browser for Android devices)

Less usable as before which comes to no surprise to anyone.
The mobile degradation continues and the glory days of desktop PC interfaces are behind us.
