Good to play on mobile phone?

Post by Merrypaws »

I’m looking for good games to play on mobile. Searching in the Games section lists only Newton and Splendor. Can anyone recommend any others?
Thank you

The game "Odin" is a game that can be played on both computers and mobile devices without it being disturbing. In any case, this is what I recommend to you.

Fromage works well for me. Orleans has a bit of scrolling but I'm not having problems with. I think It's a Wonderful World also works fine.

Hand and Foot works as well despite some zoom in / zoom out on the phone.

Because you mentioned it in your OP, Newton rendered poorly on an iPad. I can’t imagine it’s better on a phone. It’s put me off playing again simply because of the poor interface that jumped and resized each time I scrolled up and down between the different game boards. One of my poorest experiences on BGA (and I play backgammmon here!).

Azul plays ok on a phone.

I guess it comes down to, if it’s a game you know well, for layout, icons, positioning, and reading the game situation, then even though a game is on a small phone screen you’ll be ok. I can play Lost Ruins of Arnak acceptably on a phone but that’s because I play a lot in real life and am totally familiar with it. But the Arnak board is so ‘busy’ I wouldn’t recommend someone new to it trying it on a phone as a first experience.

Harmonies, Welcome To and Takenoko work well on phones. Harmonies is particularly good.
