It does. You have to manually sequence raise temp, place ocean, place tile.

At least it worked with Nuke Zone last time I tried it. I assume it should work with Flows too?
Lava Flows should work the same as Nuclear Zone, but it does not.

I believe this is a confirmed bug.

This is incorrect. Both cards should resolve in the same manner.

But I find it that ocean tiles are placed later in the game and that those spaces next to empty ocean tiles are usually already filled up when you do put down an ocean so you don't get any placement bonus when putting down an ocean. I feel it would be better if you can get the 2M€ placement bonuses when you put down an ocean next to tiles you control and any tile later on. What do you all think?
Oceans usually get places quickly. Most maps have at least 3 highly desirable spots that are often grabbed very quickly, and, most of the card that place oceans are worth playing.

If you find yourself placing tiles adjacent to empty ocean spots ... why? Put down an ocean first. If you can't or don't want to, then place your tiles on spaces not adjacent to where you expect the oceans to eventually be, saving those spots for when there are oceans.

The wording on the cards is actually the exact opposite.

But definitely you and your regular play group should reconsider how you’re sequencing things if you’re wasting these resources regularly.
Really? Because in real life and even on BGA, it's always been Heat maxes out first, then Oxygen, and then Oceans are last.

Hi all,

Thanks for posting and sharing.

Today I tried to exactly do what we are discussing here - I played Lavaflows with 2 heat bumps before the ocean. I wanted to place the ocean (on Tharsis, on 2 steel) then play the tile on the named lava place so I could the 2 MC placement bonus. BGA wouldn't let me know.

The card as written when I hovered over it seemed to allow to do so but the BGA interface did not let me. I can share a table number.

You all suggest filing a bug report? Or has BGA implemented something intended by the Fyrexius clan?

Tks.

I am almost certain this is not necessary; I believe this is a confirmed bug already (as I noted 6 or 7 posts previous to this one).

I will take a look to confirm.

Thanks all. I voted the for the bug. It only has 8 votes; let's upvote it more. I always love when Nuke Zone works and you can do these cool plays.

In high level matches o2 tends to be what maxes first most games. It’s the most efficient scoring from the parameter tracks and unlocks a lot of other scaling scoring pieces (animals). Usually the oceans go pretty hand in hand with the o2 since ocean -> convert is such a strong play.
