I got the togepi31 tutorial from the game page. Maybe a cache issue?

As far as I know, this is deliberate. BGA wants to give second tutorials a chance to get checked and rated (they might be better), and so user get randomly the one or the other tutorial. But if you know the link, you may load exactly the tutorial you want to play.

That must be the case. I just tried again because I wanted to capture the network request for the tutorial using Chrome Developer tools. This time the Nekonyancer tutorial loaded. Then I tried again, and the togepi31 tutorial loaded.

If the ratings for a new tutorial climb past the old one, does it the old one eventually stop being displayed? And where do you find the rating?

I know that only one tutorial at a time can be the "live" one (getting gift points for the first 6 months). How and when a change is made, I am not sure about. But I think this is up to the developer or BGA stuff to decide. At least it works like that if a tutorial is the only one.

You can find all tutorials, their status and their ratings here: https://boardgamearena.com/tutoriallist ... n=allgames

I was not familiar with this page. Now I have a new place to check during the next BGA scavenger hunt.

No you can't. Only the author of the tutorial can. Who in this case is, surprisingly, also the author of the guidelines you linked to ;-)
The guidelines I linked to were written by Nekonyancer. The Forest Shuffle tutorial was created by togepi31.
Not quite. There is a live tutorial for Forest Shuffle made by Nekonyancer: https://boardgamearena.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=44830 I got this link when I started the tutorial from the game page, that's why I thought you were talking about this one. It has a rating of 4.2.

There is another tutorial https://boardgamearena.com/tutorial?gam ... orial=1349 made by togepi31. It has a beta status and a rating of 2.9.

So I recommend you use just this link https://boardgamearena.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=44830 for a good tutorial for Forest Shuffle. No need to make your own one :-)
The tutorial for FS: Dartmoor is so much better.

You are correct, I could suggest improvements.
I suggest throwing the OG in the bin and repurposing the FS: D tutorial.

Great Idea!
