honestly... those are hardly ever any good, save a few good exceptions, mostly from dire wolf (and even they got some stinkers), and especially not from a random dev who's got only random mixed rated games, I'd be very surprised if that turns out to be any good, hell, I'd be surprised if it's even functionalCrumplebutt wrote: ↑16 September 2025, 19:20 So this is still hapening even though the Steam version was announed today?

I don't see a reason why it would have to make any difference. Sure it is still hapening.Crumplebutt wrote: ↑16 September 2025, 19:20 So this is still hapening even though the Steam version was announed today?

There is a Steam version of Terraforming Mars (TM), and yet BGA has also released it.Crumplebutt wrote: ↑16 September 2025, 19:20 So this is still happening even though the Steam version was announced today?
I played TM using BGA because:
- it is free
- easy to arrange a game with my BGA friends
- playable using my phone

Re: Twilight Imperium
I don't know about the Steam version, but the mobile version of Terraforming Mars has (or at least, had for years) absolutely awful netcode. My friends and I used to play it regularly and put up with the missed turns, dropped games, and all sorts of nonsense, but ditched it immediately when we found out that we could just play on the internet.SilentNSly wrote: ↑17 September 2025, 07:36 There is a Steam version of Terraforming Mars (TM), and yet BGA has also released it.
Re: Twilight Imperium
Same, I and my friends visit BGA daily to play a number of games, so a game being here is really great.SilentNSly wrote: ↑17 September 2025, 07:36There is a Steam version of Terraforming Mars (TM), and yet BGA has also released it.Crumplebutt wrote: ↑16 September 2025, 19:20 So this is still happening even though the Steam version was announced today?

We have the Steam version of Dune Imperium, but rarely play it because it's on a different platform, so the async play doesn't end up working well at all. Really glad to see TI coming to BGA! Of course, for others they like the graphics and sound effects so options are always nice.
Re: Twilight Imperium
Asmodee own BGA and FFG so provided they haven't done something silly with the licensing this shouldn't be an issue, rightCrumplebutt wrote: ↑16 September 2025, 19:20 So this is still hapening even though the Steam version was announed today?
Also the app doesn't look like it's going to support async play on release, so good reason to continue with the BGA implementation
Re: Twilight Imperium
Thanks for your patience. New faction: Saar (14 out of 17 base game factions complete)
This faction is well suited for roaming the galaxy.
* Gains a trade good after gaining control of a planet.
* Can score public objectives even if they lose their home system.
* Can hide ships in asteroid fields, preventing opponents from activating them.
* Their space docks are in space instead of on planets, and can move around the map.
* Important: Saar must still control a planet in the system to build a new space dock with Construction or Construction Rider.
As always when a new faction is added, please watch for any bugs.

Check the "Objectives, Laws" tab in game. If there is a law preventing wormholes to work, it will be there.powodzenia wrote: ↑19 September 2025, 09:10 I cant find this anywhere - how can I check the settings of the table I am playing now?

If you want to check the table configuration, you can check it by clicking the BGA logo when you are in game. It will take you to the table configuration page showing hte players in game and all settings that were accepted when the host created the table.
Re: Twilight Imperium
GTSchemer can you explain me one thing: in this game https://boardgamearena.com/table?table=729710814 I activated Lazar Sakulag system and finished movement immediately (cuz I had a ship in this system and all I wanted is to use it to invade another neutral planet (Lazar), using my infantry from Sakulag). But after my turn ended. Why is that so? Or I should have loaded infantry on a ship during the movement phase?
