I think implementing support for quicker notifications when doing transactoins is cruicial to make the game playable the way it was intended. So I'm hoping for that.

Moderating a ton of TI4 games is not feasible given limited moderator time, and it is particularly not feasible in TI4 because it can last several months for a slow turn-based game. If someone is abusing you ingame, the other player being punished once the game ends and you can report does not help since it does not change what they are doing in that game. The only other alternative is a game being killed 2 months in, which is not good either.

For these reasons, the goal with TI4 is to give players the power to proactively defend themselves if someone is abusing trades, for example, by letting you block trades from a specific player.

My concern has been that if everyone can easily wake you up and waste a day at a time (international players and timezones) where you log in and do nothing but click "Reject Trade" on your turn, then it could lead to a broader trend of players turning off trades in general. This would severely impact games because trading is an integral part of TI4 and I want to avoid mechanisms which irritate players and drive them away from it.

There may be options for waking up in the future, but it will have to be monitored to see if it causes problems with the player base.
Have you / FFG considered making web-version specific rules to get rid of as much of additional delay as possible? This case could be resolved to make trade such that on your turn you can add a trade request but it is only responded to on the target player's next turn.

It already works that way, for exactly that sort of reason.

Would it be possible to add some sort of 'accept transaction as soon as you able' option, instead of blocking it when in async mode? There are situations where its a player's turn, but you can't transact with them while waiting on other people to do strategy card actions. to prevent possible race conditions, you could only have one transaction in this state at a time.

Further to the discussion of trade:

Can the third point of the Trade Strategy card be set to resolve separately?

My group like to receive the 3 trade goods and commodities, and use those TGs/commodities to set binding trades for Trade Agreement Promissories.

Sometimes discussions with multiple players gets mixed up and players commodities get refreshed without an agreed binding trade.

EDIT: Ignore this: we discovered the pause after commodity refresh option. It works perfectly. I am very happy.

Where is this option? I don't see it in the gear menu.

Click the alerts tab with a bell icon between the history and map button

Click Advanced Pause Options -> After I replenish trade goods

Smart tip about the Sabotage card:
If you have the sabotage card, but don't want a wake up on everytime someone play a action card which is not targeting you. You can turn
off the alert bell notification on sabotage card and do this:

Alerts Tab -> New Alert:
Phase: (any phase)
Timing window: When an Action card is played
Action faction (any other faction)
Involved faction (select: your faction you have in the game)
Alert when: I can use a card, ability and/or negotiate

Also you can also bluff with this as well, because it will cause others to be more catious playing action card against you, but it will slow down
an async game.

If someone plays an action card against you, this will wake you and you can block it.
Very few players know about this, received a tip from GTSchemer about this feature and I use it in almost all my games.

Quick update: I am still working on Nekro support. General support for copying techs works, even with faction techs, but there are many special cases that need programmed and validated.

After that, I have to finish agenda phase Nekro support and the Nekro flagship.

Players quitting games particularly after losing their home systems seems to be a persistent problem. I've only had 1 game actually finish b/c other players keep quitting. Can we get quitters removed from the alpha until the autoskip turn ftr works?

TI4 update, I am still working on the many interactions for Nekro X and Y tokens. Sorry about the slow progress.

is this live to play as alpha? if live, can we apply to be a tester?

(sorry if this has been asked and answered already. this thread is 54 pages long and darn intimidating)
