Rant : i feel there are too many garbage games in BGA

I feel that it affects BGA quality because if the game list is filled with trash then i suggest BGA should do a clean up.

First of all, unpopular != trash. I'm currently playing a game that got fewer than 60 plays in the entire three months of the last Arena season. So waaaaaay fewer than 1,000 plays a month (unless tons of people are playing outside of Arena). But guess what, I and three other players are playing it right now. So we shouldn't have been able to play because you as the self-appointed game quality czar think it's "trash"?

But you are right, it does affect BGA quality...for the better. The ability to play a game you have zero chance of being able to find and play over the board IRL is one of the best things about BGA.

Scrap all the games with less than 1000 plays per month? Are you joking? That's like half the games on BGA.

I only play the games I want and appreciate the variety and uniqueness of what is being offered. I do not think less of BGA administration for having a robust selection and when I promote BGA to other gamers and friends, I only speak of the creme della creme of the BGA Collection and let them discover the gems.

Variety is the spice of life, different games appeal to different people

If the games already work, it makes no sense to remove them

If they are forcing people to play these games, then that would be an issue.

I feel like it increases the quality of BGA because it means that, regardless of the popularity of a game, they offer it. It is truly a place where people can play and try board games.

As an aside, I appreciate the fact that there are a kind of record of these games. Preserving them is important.
