The problem with this very well meaning and friendly response, is that I am Australian, but live in the UK, with excellent internet (even at PEAK times believe it or not). Would you care to have a think about a different reply now, I have no doubt you will be able to find something positive to say. Thank you for showing the level of support this community shows others, would you say you were more helpful, less helpful or about average for people here?

If my internet is good though, does that put the blame with BGA?

Finally, am unsure what rubbish coffee has to do with anything, and what was the G'day about. That kind of stereotyping is so old fashioned, lazy, and not at all helpful in todays climate, I hope you take time to research and reflect on this.

Now, what does this mean? I have no doubt there are subtle layers of language being used, but you mention coffee again, which is very odd. And you failed to mention what this renowned consultant would be an expert in, would you care to elaborate? I think, a world class psychologist consultant to review some of the replies in the forums would be priceless. They could split people into various categories, such as helpful, friendly, not so helpful, not so friendly, etc. The list could be extensive, some of the not so savoury categories could come with penalty, and the downright rude, arrogant, ignorant etc, could see temporary bans.

Is that the kind of thing you were alluding to?

Sadly, this is what I expected, I wanted to make sure there wasn't some paywall type of thing going on, if it is the same for everyone, then perhaps I will wait until the product is worth paying for.

The benefits of being premium are listed in https://boardgamearena.com/premium?src=globalmenu

If that's something you'd be willing to pay for, get premium. But if you're looking for priority support, more stable connection, enhanced die rolls... you won't get that.

I don't know if it would be considered worth it for you, but for me it's a question of enjoying the site and therefore wanting to support it so that I can continue to enjoy it. True there has been some issues lately which some people will claim nothing is being done about (because if you can't see what's going on behind the curtain then surely there's nothing there, or some such) but this is not enough for me to withdraw my support. I feel like BGA having a smaller income is not going to be helpful for solving the problem, and I can easily afford paying it.

You made the comparison to rubbish coffee initially, in your first post. He’s just riffing off that.

Greetings all,

I am a maintainer for a popular game.

I can attest to the fact that within the past 6 weeks, there have been at least 6 major server outages resulting in dozens? hundreds? thousands? of players being expelled from games.

Each time it happens, there is a deluge of meaningless bug reports from people who want their Elo back, which I cannot do.

Perhaps I have been unlucky in my timing then. There have been times when the site has been pretty much U/S, which then makes it difficult to justify paying for it. I try to support sites like this, but never for the sake of it.
I am aware I made a comment about coffee, which someone has decided to become obsessed over, but the point is valid. if you bought a bad coffee, so be it. A bad coffee a few more times however, and you wouldn't go back (I assumed this was an obvious analogy, but I apologise for not making it clear), and please substitute coffee for any goods or service of choice. I was simply asking for advice, got that from everyone except the afore mentioned coffee obsessive, and for that I am grateful, and frankly, having only one oddball on a forum thread is remarkable, and I'll take it any day.
I will give it some time, hopefully things improve, or settle down, if so I'll stay and upgrade, if not then I find somewhere else to go, and nobody will lose any sleep either way

They might lose sleep if they drink too much rubbish coffee.
