wrldtrvllr wrote: 24 January 2026, 18:14 I never mentioned any user name. I never "confirmed" anything. And yet, multiple people have accused me directly of doing that. Anyone who has accused me of doing that is lying. End of.
I’ve seen one person do that, and I’m willing to believe it was a genuine misreading of nested block quotes.

And that person was not FrankJones, to whom I think you owe an apology.

Of course, you ignored the bulk of what I said. But at least I didn’t get your usual vitriol so, hey, #winning.

BarnardsStar wrote: 24 January 2026, 18:01 Finally, food for thought: I don’t understand why you even brought up the “blatantly triumphalist and provocative username”. It wasn’t relevant at all. You could have just said, “Hey, I tried to report somebody and got this ‘boy who cried wolf’ message and I find it deeply concerning I apparently can’t report people.”
Yes, they could have just done this. But they have already made the complaint about the ‘boy who cried wolf’ message in the past in the thread I linked to above. Complaints about BGA's lack of feedback is fair game. They fall short in that regard in many areas. The way OP comports themself in this thread does not elicit any sympathy for their specific case, but better feedback is good for everyone.

You've seen all the incredibly unpleasant and nasty attacks on me, yes? You have seen that they are all based on completely unverified assumptions? Exactly what is your issue with anything I have said?

@barnardsstar
Your assessment is probably accurate in most cases but it is possible to sit on concerns. For one, imo the moderation policy needs some tweaking. I’ve thought about creating threads on certain topics but then I think to myself “is anything going to come from it? Do I even want to waste the energy?”. So I don’t 🤣

Ps. Boy who cried wolf message is pretty funny

@wrldtrvllr did you ever contact bga directly about your concern? An admin responded to you directly in forums which is rare. Was there any follow up?

So somebody reported a post that I made here and got me heavily penalised. The post I made was in response to a lengthy nasty series of personal attacks by someone who decided to attack me because of their own gross misunderstanding of what had been said by whom. But I cannot report them for their attacks on me.

Nothing has changed since I last reported this issue. It remains the case that if the moderators disagree with a report, they will not tell you that. Nor will they warn you that they will block you from reporting if they disagree with any more. Nor is it even stated anywhere that they will block reporting if they disagree with too many reports. So you just get penalised without warning for a rule that you couldn't possibly have known exists, and which you couldn't possibly have known you were violating even if you did know it exists.

Maybe the moderators don't have the time or inclination to respond to your every nitpicky complaint. "No, this doesn't rise to the level of violation because..." "No that doesn't rise to the level of violation because..." Just the fact that you made five frivolous complaints in a row should be a clue. This is about you.

Just how you're conducting yourself in this discussion, demanding an explanation, is further evidence that you take yourself way too seriously.

At that point, we just have to stop feeding the troll.

I've never made any frivolous complaints. You don't know what you're talking about. Not acted on != frivolous. But of course, don't miss an opportunity to be insulting and sanctimonious.

From your first post...

"I just tried to report a user who has a blatantly triumphalist and provocative username."

And...

"'Sorry but the 5 last reports you submitted to moderation did not manage to convince our moderation team...'"

This is manifest frivolity.

I've asked them legitimate questions multiple times which they chose to ignore and instead responded to everyone who are against them lol. The message shouldn't be dismissed because of the messenger. There are flaws with the moderation system.

It was already possible to see the results of reports from any player who had an active chat ban. Bga changed this at some point and now there is no info on others karma history. I'm going to assume it is still visible for admins but there is no excuse why we can't have access to our own reports.

Also you are making assumptions (understandably). The message about 5 bad reports in a row is an old message from previous admins that wasn't applicable to op. Confirmed by the new admin in op last thread. But they did rule overall that op has made too many bad reports throughout their history and even submitted duplicate reports which led to the ruling.

This is a legit concern. I've seen a few more issues like this. Some users are permanently banned from watching replays because they watched too many but nowhere does it state that is even a thing or no warning was issued.

I've been in this position also. At one point EVERY moderation against me came from someone who attacked me first  prompting me to make this thread
